Well - it has been a rough week. That is all I can say! I am sorry for the missing Menu Monday but I have not handled this surgery very well. The surgery ended up being more difficult then expected. My Dr. was trying to prevent totally opening my up so opted for a lengthy surgery and to go the extra mile before making that decision. I am glad he did because it worked.....I think I am having difficulties now, if he would have had to open me completely up, I think it would have been worst.
I know I am getting old but gee wiz..............
This is how you stayed warm. Yes, you stuck the vacuum hose into my vacuum bag dress, turned up the heat and just toasted away. WHAT THE #&@*! I want blankets. Yes - those old fashion things that I am pretty sure that we all still use every night. A blanket! Isn't that the craziest thing you have ever seen! I felt like I was in the twilight zone or something...........
But I did get cute socks! And it matched my vacuum bag gown so I have to give them credit for that! It all matched. 
Well - I am off for some rest. I plan on popping in later this week, depending how I am feeling!

My husband and I adopted 3 special needs children and then God blessed us with 2 of our own. My children are a true blessing and each one has something special to offer. WOW - I absolutly LOVE Desperate Housewives. Infact, I have never....yes you heard me correctly....never missed an episode! I am so thrilled that the new season has started. 
Before the show started, my darling husband came in MY bedroom and announced that he had something that he wanted to watch on t.v.. WHAT! WHAT WAS HE SAYING! I think the devil came over me and I raged at him that it would be over my dead body! This was my bedroom and he could relocate himself to one of our other 3 t.v's in the house! I THINK HE HAS LOST HIS MIND!
I can so relate to Lynnett. Why you might ask. Not only is she the little old lady that lived in a shoe, she had so many children that she didn't know what to do.......but because what she just revealed about her current pregnancy. She has really been struggling with this pregnancy for many reasons. For one, she is 40 and it was never in the plan. She has so many others to care for. Just isn't happy about the pregnancy and she is unsure that she wants to keep this baby!

As much as I hate to admit it......that is exactly how I felt. I was nasty, cried and acted horrid! It was something that was NEVER, NEVER going to happen. After all, who had 5 children? We didn't have room for an addition. Women that are 40 don't have babies, especially women with grey hair! And to boot it all, when I found out I was already through my first trimester without any symptoms. I had lost 68lbs. and continued to lose weight on a weekly basis! Pregnant women don't lose weight. Infact, I couldn't be prepared in 6 months for a baby - that was insane!
So, I thought!
After about 2/3 weeks and learning that the baby was alright, wasn't going to be born with 2 heads, I started settling down with the fact that I was pregnant and we were going to have a baby at 40! YES-40! 
This child has been one of the best gifts that I have ever been given. He is a total delight and been one of the most sweetest things on earth since that Halloween day (his birthday - another story for another day).
What was I thinking? I am so ashamed to admit that I had those feelings. I guess I just went a little crazy!
And all I can say is .................. YES LYNNET, you can do it do and it will be one of the best journeys you have experienced. Even at 40!
The things we do for our children. My darling daughter has decided that she wants to be a Gap Girl! 
Go figure! At 10 yrs. of age she expresses her wants very loudly at times. I really think that she wants to do this so she can go to see the Lion King. Anyway - will you please take a moment and go and vote for her!

You don't have to call me Chubbie Chica anymore......my new name will be Coupon Queen. I did it, I finally did it today! Look at this lovely grocery cart, full of all those wonderful, name brand, items. Of course the most priceless item is that little boy in the car..... Anyway, Landon & I grabbed the coupons and headed off to Krogers. I was able to get that whole cart for $27.40.....I will say it again.....I got the WHOLE cart for $27.40!
